Dita Lūse focuses onto the fates of her family in the hinges of history of the 20th century, on the inherited memories. The epoch is portrayed through paintings of old photos and letters. In the newest works of the Fading series artist uses flowing oil colour to emphasise the way images vanish from our memories. This artwork is about the reunion of the survivors, friends and family, after war. Happy, because it is over, but so sad for all that did not return. The story has a new value now, that war is present in Europe again.
