The gallery is about a woman, being a home for her yet unborn baby, about the dual feeling of being in union with the child and at the same time being two separate people. The child in my paintings is also the part of our own personality, the vulnerable inner child that we tend to protect, hide and cherish. The paintings are also about the inner beauty and fragility, about solitude, the powerful force of life and about the feeling how difficult it is to share our deepest emotions.

These paintings are devoted to medieval, especially Romanesque artworks that tell us a lot about our history and ancestors. Medival ideas, dark as they seem to be are still vivid and often influence us nowadays. I have tried to convey this connection with the past.
